HIV Stigma Reduction & Peer Support
IWHDA supports women, girls, pregnant and postpartum mothers and other people affected by HIV to access information, psychosocial support and trusted peer networks without fear of judgement or discrimination. Our approach combines community HIV awareness, peer support, safe group discussions, psychosocial support, referral linkages and support for safe disclosure. We create spaces where participants can openly discuss treatment, mental wellbeing, parenting stress, disclosure and other challenges while encouraging mutual support and respectful care. Participatory methods such as group discussion, creative expression and peer-led activities help make these spaces safe and accessible.
