Capacity Building & Community Systems Strengthening

IWHDA invests in the people and community structures that provide support closest to where women and girls live. We strengthen the capacity of community volunteers, peer educators, health workers, VHTs, local leaders and community protection actors through practical training, mentoring and learning. Key areas include SRHR, GBV referral pathways, safeguarding, community mobilisation, inclusive service delivery, confidentiality and appropriate referral practices. We also use monitoring and reflection processes to identify barriers, improve coordination and strengthen the quality and accountability of community-level responses.
